Birthday? August 3rd
Favorite Color? Right now, it's some variation of teal/turquoise. But I'm pretty flexible. Color pairings are my favorite: teal & red, yellow & grey, yellow & navy.
Favorite Food? Vegetables. Weird, I know. I'm also a pretty big fan of ice cream.
Favorite Book? So hard to choose just one. But if I did, it would be The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery (who also wrote the Anne of Green Gables books).
Favorite Quote? "It always seems impossible until it's done." Story of my life.
Favorite Sports Team? I'm not a huge sports fan, but since my husband is, I at least have to have a favorite team. The Red Sox are it for me - especially my man Pedroia.
Favorite Wall Quotes™ decal? This is a hard question to answer - especially since I have a hand in almost all of the designs we feature. I love so many for different reasons, but right now, I'm really digging "Do what you love and do it often" (find it here).
Why? a) I love the sentiment. It's such a great reminder to focus on what brings me joy - be it creating, mothering, teaching, traveling, and even occasionally - cleaning house (ha!). And I totally love the little embellishments in the letters.
What are you in charge of at Belvedere Designs? Technically, my title is Creative Director. This means a lot of things - from creating designs and Wall Quotes™ decals to sourcing new colors, typefaces, and great designers to join our team. I also dabble in marketing/advertising, product development, and - much to my chagrin - paperwork.
What's your favorite thing about working here? The creativity. I love to create new designs, discover new fonts, put together elements to make something cool and fresh. And I love to see our customers respond so positively to new designs and use them in their own homes.
What do you do when you're not making crazy awesome Wall Quotes™ decals at Belvedere Designs? Well, I've got four kids to wrangle. And occasionally I make time to do un-exciting things like laundry and dishes (sigh). I love to read and always have a pile 6 or 7 books deep on my nightstand. I'm trying to be a cyclist (oof!). And I love to travel; my husband and I always seem to be planning "the next adventure."

Final thoughts? I sometimes forget that I'm a working mom - Belvedere Designs is just such a part of my life and sometimes it's just so darn fun that it doesn't always feel like work. This may have a lot to do with my schedule. Because I have little ones at home, I work in snatches (at nap time, while the kids play outside, etc.). Sometimes my real day doesn't begin until after bedtime. But in the end, it's so rewarding to create and to help others be inspired by powerful words.
