Meet the Team - Bruce

Today we meet the guy behind the behind-the-scenes in our meet-the-team-that-makes-the-magic-happen series.  And boy, to many of us, his behind-the-scenes web development work really is magic.  He's currently working on a complete overhaul and revamping - watch for the updated awesomeness to go live sometime this fall.

Bruce

Birthday? February 12th

Favorite Color? Blue

Favorite Food? Chocolate (chocolate is a "food," right?)

Favorite Book? Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series

Favorite Quote? "We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works." - Douglas Adams

Favorite Team? San Antonio Spurs. I grew up in Alaska, and never really got hooked into any sports teams.  However, I lived in San Antonio for 11 years, and caught Spurs fever when I attended my first professional sports game.  Plus, the Spurs are a class act, which is something that is unfortunately rare in professional sports these days.

Favorite Wall Quotes™ decal? Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be - Abraham Lincoln (find it here).

Why? It's by my man Abe (we share a birthday!) But it's a good reminder that we are solely responsible for our own state of mind and how we choose to deal with the daily difficulties we face.

How long have you been with the team?  6 months

What are you in charge of at Belvedere Designs? Web Design - restructuring the entire line of Belvedere Designs web sites so our web presence reflects our awesomeness and creates a more manageable and customer-friendly experience.

What's your favorite thing about working here?  Working from home in my jammies.

What do you do when you're not making crazy awesome Wall Quotes™ decals at Belvedere Designs? Working on my wife's blogs (cupcake anyone?), spending time with my grandson, learning and improving my web development skills.  Yeah, I don't get out much lately.

Other than being a web development guru, Bruce has had an illustrious career as a firefighter (hence the photo).  But these days, he really is making our web presence reflect our awesomeness.  That takes a lot of behind-the-scenes and often unnoticed work, but he's dedicated and gets stuff done.  He's taking us to mobile-friendly and cutting-edge.  Watch for the new iteration to roll out sometime this fall.  We're all so so excited - and have Bruce to thank for it.
