Meet the Team - Jordan

In another segment of our Meet the Team series, today we meet the behind-the-scenes man in charge of web development, marketing and advertising, scheduling, inventory, and other general-manager-esque jobs.

Jordan

Birthday? September 10th

Favorite Color? Argyle

Favorite Food? Smoked Ribs

Favorite Book? Steinbeck's East of Eden

Favorite Quote? Theodore Roosevelt's "Man in the Arena"
(find our version of it here)

Favorite sport/team? Liverpool. Bruins. Cubs & Redsox. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I like sports and I grew up in Vegas [remember how Las Vegans, without a local sports franchise can choose which team(s) to call their own?  Hence the eclectic loyalty.]

Favorite Wall Quotes™ decal? Man in the Arena
(find it here) or Roosevelt's "Rusting Out" - I have the largest size of that one in my office.

Why? Because Theodore Roosevelt was awesome - his reading of the constitution was poor, but he was unapologetically manly: "See a problem? Solve it. No excuses. Put your man pants on and get it done."

How long have you been with the team?  From the beginning.

What are you in charge of at Belvedere Designs? All the things [officially, he's the General Manager so, you know, there's a lot to it].

What's your favorite thing about working here?  Creating.  Taking an idea and turning it into a product - whether that be a new decal or a website re-vamp.

What do you do when you're not making crazy awesome Wall Quotes™ decals at Belvedere Designs? I make awesome food - cheese and treats and meats.  I'm also writing a dissertation on James Madison's theories of representation for my PhD in American political theory.  And I like Jeeping and hiking and riding my bike with my boys.

Anything else to add? After 3 years considering, I just bought burgundy corduroy pants.  Ohlalala.

Jordan runs the gears of this operation.  We first started back in the day by selling trying to sell a good product at the farmer's market - but it just wasn't the right kind of venue and we knew we needed a website and a broader scope.  So - Jordan bought a book and learned to code.  He's always learning and tweaking and making things awesome on the inside so that the final product is user-friendly and up-to-date.  He's a true renaissance man running a business, getting a PhD, and being a dad.  Sure, he's got too much to do - but he does it with class.  No wonder he thinks Roosevelt is the man, eh?
